I have chosen to submit this range of work as I think it best showcases my ability to work in different areas of art and design. I am very interested in the fashion course at MMU as I think textiles and design are my main strengths. I would love the opportunity to develop my skills and gain more knowledge about the fashion industry in order to pursue a career as a fashion designer. I am also very excited about the prospect of working on live projects. The course is said to have a very good reputation and produces outstanding levels of work. I would take full advantages of the opportunities the course would give me.

The Seven Deadly Sins

Envy.Pride.Wrath.Greed.Gluttony.Sloth.Lust
This was in response to a foundation art brief called 'Seven' in which we were asked to look
at the significance of the number seven and develop it into a project. I chose to focus on the seven deadly sins and styled then photographed my representation of each one concentrating on the use of clothing, make up and props.

Colour Project

I chose to focus on Blue for this colour themed project. I looked at the Blue iris - the interesting shapes created by its layers, its delicate appearance and elegance. Inspiration also came from the use of blue In Jason Wu's most recent collection.

Rags To Riches

This garment was made in response to a brief called 'Rags to Riches', a project based
on using recycled materials. The materials I used for my piece were inspired by a collection
by Alex Hancock that featured cling film. This led me to the final garment which is made out of cling film and hemmed with newspaper.
